Well done to Zoe and Lucy from our Ash Shop, who kindly gave up their time on Sunday 20th, to support the Ash and Ash Vale Community Picnic. Together they created this inviting stall of refreshments and sweet treats, with a range of our delicious Christmas Bakery Classics including; Gingerbread, Lemon Drizzle, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake, Coffee & Walnut Cake, Victoria Sponge Slices and a selection of assorted cupcakes as well as soft drinks, which went down well on what turned out to be a lovely, warm early Summers day.
Following the delightful and romantic Royal Wedding on Saturday, this seemed the perfect event for us to attend so in keeping with great British tradition of sharing a picnic! Well done to the organisers from the Ash and Ash Vale Community Group, a great idea to get the local community together. We hope we can be part of the event next year, with a bigger stall to cater for all picnic treats including sandwich boxes, sausage rolls and our delicious cream filled scones.

Making bread requires care, technical knowledge and a great deal of commitment. At the Christmas Bakery we produce a variety of different breads to suit all tastes, from traditional white and wholemeal loaves to sourdough’s and speciality breads including our bestselling Multi-seed and Norfolk Crunch. All our breads and rolls are made with strong flours milled the traditional way from Canadian and English wheat. We work with Heygates, a family milling business since the 19th Century, who deliver twice a week from their mill in Tring. With nearly 4 tonnes of flour delivered every week, we're baking nearly 24 hours a day, 6 days a week to ensure you enjoy warm, hearty loaves!
We cater for all types of events and gatherings including Birthday Celebrations, Afternoon Teas, Wakes, Christening Teas, Children's Parties, Baby Showers or Business meetings. For smaller events you can order here for our Afternoon Teas, Children's Party Boxes and Sandwich Platters.
