To all our wonderful customers, thank you for all your support and patience as we get our bakery and bakery shops back up and running safely. Although we remain committed to providing our local community with a home delivery service, we are unable to provide home deliveries this week. We are confident our home delivery service will resume Tuesday 2nd February, with the online menu available from Monday 1st.
In the meantime, we are pleased to say both our Ash Vale and Worplesdon Bakery Shops are now open, selling our full range of daily fresh breads and rolls and assortment of sweet treats and savouries!
Thank you for all your support and well wishes over the past couple of weeks. We are very happy to announce our bakery shops in Ash Vale and Worplesdon will both be re-opening tomorrow morning, Tuesday 26th, at 7.30am, and our local home delivery service will resume Thursday 28th. Priority will go to those who booked a home delivery as we closed, so these will go out first on Wednesday 27th.
We have missed seeing all our customers and are very much looking forward to welcoming you all back, but as our bakery operations slowly recover and get back to normal, we may not have all your favourite lines, however as the week goes on, we will be introducing more and more as we continue to bake day and night.
As our business has been impacted by the Coronavirus, we are putting in additional safeguarding, and would like to remind all our customers when visiting our shops to please use the hand sanitiser stations upon entry and please ensure you wear your face coverings. We have instructed our retail staff that any customers who do not co-operate, will not be served. Finally, we have taken the decision to reduce again, the number of customers in our shops at any one time and ask that you please follow our new door policy and we will endeavour to serve you as quickly and safely as possible.
Let’s hope we will all soon see signs of normality, where we can be together and shop together, but for now let’s be sure to follow the guidelines set out by the government on social distancing and hand washing, and hopefully we can enjoy a sociable summer!

Thank you to all our customers for your well wishes, sadly due to staff shortages from the impact of coronavirus, we have had to close our Worplesdon bakery to safeguard both our staff and customers. This is a short term closure and we hope to re-open early next week (Tuesday 26th January). During this time both our Worplesdon and Ash Vale bakery shops will be closed and our home delivery service, sadly suspended.
No doubt this is unsettling and worrying times for many, but with the vaccine roll-out and extensive National effort in place, as we all live through a third National lockdown, comes hope.. And we will soon be back, fighting fit and baking stronger than ever!

Making bread requires care, technical knowledge and a great deal of commitment. At the Christmas Bakery we produce a variety of different breads to suit all tastes, from traditional white and wholemeal loaves to sourdough’s and speciality breads including our bestselling Multi-seed and Norfolk Crunch. All our breads and rolls are made with strong flours milled the traditional way from Canadian and English wheat. We work with Heygates, a family milling business since the 19th Century, who deliver twice a week from their mill in Tring. With nearly 4 tonnes of flour delivered every week, we're baking nearly 24 hours a day, 6 days a week to ensure you enjoy warm, hearty loaves!
We cater for all types of events and gatherings including Birthday Celebrations, Afternoon Teas, Wakes, Christening Teas, Children's Parties, Baby Showers or Business meetings. For smaller events you can order here for our Afternoon Teas, Children's Party Boxes and Sandwich Platters.
